Dress Code

Delegates are expected to maintain a professional appearance throughout the week. Review these guidelines before packing to ensure you have the appropriate attire.

Standard Daily Attire

Delegates must wear business casual attire during all daytime sessions, city meetings, and county activities.

  • Khaki slacks or dress pants (no jeans, shorts, or athletic wear)
  • Collared shirt (polo or button-down)
  • Closed-toe shoes (dress shoes or clean athletic shoes)
  • Belt required
  • City-issued name tag visible at all times

Assembly & Evening Events

Opening ceremonies, guest speakers, and special assemblies require formal business attire.

  • Dress slacks (khaki or dark colors)
  • Button-down dress shirt
  • Tie required for all assemblies
  • Dress shoes (no athletic shoes)
  • Blazer or sport coat recommended but not required

Not Permitted

The following items are not allowed at any time during the program:

  • Denim jeans of any color
  • Shorts, cargo pants, or athletic wear
  • T-shirts, tank tops, or sleeveless shirts
  • Sandals, flip-flops, or open-toe shoes
  • Hats or caps indoors
  • Clothing with inappropriate graphics or language

Recreation & Free Time

Athletic clothing is permitted during designated recreation periods only.

  • Athletic shorts and t-shirts allowed during recreation
  • Proper athletic footwear for gym activities
  • Must change back to business casual after recreation
  • Swimwear (if pool access is available) must be modest
